Helicopter Resources operates the largest fleet of Airbus H125 (formerly known as the AS350B3e) helicopters in Tasmania. Our 4 H125s were purchased new in 2014 and are fitted with additional safety enhancements including dual redundancy hydraulic systems, auto pilot, radar altimeters and traffic avoidance systems. The H125 offers seating for up to 5 passengers with each passenger equipped with the latest Bose noise cancelling headset. Large cargo lockers and cargo baskets allow for the transport of bulky and oversized items. The rear seats can also be folded to allow transport of extra oversized items internally in the cabin. The H125s can be fitted with emergency pop out floats for overwater operations.

Helicopter Resources operates two Airbus AS350B2s. The B2s are fitted with the reliable and economical Lycoming LTS101 engine and offer the same cabin space, seating and cargo basket capacity as the H125 with a slightly reduced external load payload. Our two B2s underwent a complete refurbishment in 2019 including new paint inside and out, new intercom and radio equipment and the addition of Bose noise cancelling headsets for all passengers The B2s can be fitted with long range fuel tanks making them the perfect aircraft for long endurance survey operations including fire reconnaissance, mapping, wildlife survey, geophysical survey and filming and photography operations. Like the H125, the B2 can be fitted with emergency pop out floats for over water operations.

Helicopter Resources BK117’s are operated on exclusive contract to the Australian Antarctic Program. These aircraft deploy to Antarctica over the Australian summer period to support scientific and logistics operations. They operate from the RSV Nuyina icebreaker or continental stations and field camps. The aircraft are used in a variety of roles including transporting personnel, moving cargo both internally and as external loads, aerial surveys, photography and for search and rescue if required.
